| Penerangan CU | Perform JBIM Professionalism Activities describes the competencies required to maintain, strengthen, and continuously develop the professional standards of a Jurubahasa Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (JBIM) through structured and reflective professional engagement. This CU covers participation in periodic JBIM-related meetings, engagement in Deaf-led events to deepen cultural understanding, and attendance at professional upskilling or training programmes to stay aligned with evolving interpreting practices and ethical standards. It emphasises the importance of lifelong learning, professional networking, and reflective practice in sustaining interpreting quality. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to participate periodic JBIM meeting, participate Deaf-led event and participate professional upskilling event The outcome of this CU is the ability to demonstrate continuous professional development through verified participation in JBIM professional meetings, engagement in Deaf-led community activities, and documented attendance in professional upskilling programmes. Measurable evidence such as attendance records, reflective summaries, peer or supervisor verification, and CPD logs confirms the interpreter’s ongoing improvement in professional practice, ethical conduct, and cultural competence. |
