A fire fighter suppresses and extinguishes fires to prevent loss of life, and/or destruction of property and the environment. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to respond to emergency notification, lead fire fighting operation and lead fire area overhauling. The outcome of this CU is this competency is to extinguish fire, to prevent the fire from spreading and also to supervise subordinates work in the operation. |
