| Penerangan CU | Perform marine machinery maintenance supervision describes the competency in organizing, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance, inspection, and repair activities carried out on various marine machinery and systems onboard ships, including main and auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors, gear and shafting systems, steering gear, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and other essential shipboard equipment. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare maintenance report, prepare compliance documentation, conduct safety briefing, coordinate maintenance work schedule implementation, prepare workshop inventory and store handling and inspect fire, safety and pollution appliances. The outcome of this CU is marine machinery maintenance work is planned, supervised and executed effectively and safely, ensuring machinery systems operate reliably and efficiently through commissioning tests within manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements. |
