| Penerangan CU | Perform marine diesel engine maintenance describes the competency in performing maintenance, inspection and repair work on marine main propulsion engines installed onboard ships, encompassing activities ranging from routine checks of lubrication, cooling, and fuel systems to complex overhauls. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to maintain diesel engine cylinder covers, maintain diesel engine pistons and rods, maintain diesel engine cylinder liners, inspect diesel engine crankshaft, inspect diesel engine turbo-charger, maintain diesel engine air inter-cooler, inspect diesel engine structure, maintain marine air starting system, maintain fuel injection pump and maintain fuel injector. The outcome of this CU is diesel engines operate reliably and efficiently, delivering designed power output without leaks, excessive vibration, abnormal noise, or operational defects and perform within manufacturer’s specifications. |
