The person who is competent in this CU should be able to support new steam boiler system planning, support new steam boiler construction and installation requirements, control new steam boiler pre-commissioning, control new steam boiler commissioning activities including drying out, boiling out, and steam flushing, and control new steam boiler test performance. The outcome of this CU is the ability to effectively manage the end-to-end installation process of new steam boilers thus ensuring safe execution, proper system validation, and successful integration into operational use, while meeting industry, safety, and performance requirements. |
