| Penerangan CU | Perform overhead travelling crane lifting operation describes indoor and yard overhead travelling systems with fixed runways/tracks, for routine material handling in workshops, fabrication halls, warehouses, and yards. Scope focuses on hook approach and precise positioning using hoist/bridge/trolley co-ordination, exclusion-zone control, pre-use inspection, function testing, and documentation in accordance with facility SOPs, safety regulations, and manufacturer instructions. The crane types covered under this competency are the Bridge Crane (Overhead), including single and double girder configurations, the Gantry Crane for workshop or yard applications, and the Monorail Crane. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to inspect overhead travelling crane physical conditions, position overhead travelling crane on working area, carry out overhead travelling crane lifting activities and conduct overhead travelling crane shutdown. The outcome of this CU is overhead travelling crane operated to lift, move, and place loads accurately and safely, with structural checks, positioning, lifting, and shutdown activities performed in accordance with control procedures, lifting plan, and site safety requirements. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to perform overhead travelling crane lifting operation ensuring proper inspection, safe positioning, controlled lifting, and correct shutdown in accordance with lifting plan, manufacturer’s manual, and safe working procedures (SWP). Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Inspect overhead travelling crane physical conditions. 2. Position overhead travelling crane on working area. 3. Carry out overhead travelling crane lifting activities. 4. Conduct overhead travelling crane shutdown. |
