| Penerangan CU | Perform crawler crane lifting operation describes competency in handling heavy and repetitive lifts using track-mounted crawler cranes on prepared ground, including assembly, counterweighting, boom/jib configuration, load chart application, limited travel with load, and demobilisation. Systems are operated using LMI/RCI and A2B with radius control (trolley/luff), anti-collision/zone limits, and co-ordination with rigging/signalling, in accordance with P.U.(A) 99/2024, DOSH requirements, BS 7121 (as relevant), manufacturer’s manual, the approved lifting plan, and site method statements. The crane types covered under this competency are the Lattice-Boom Crawler Crane and the Telescopic Crawler Crane. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to inspect track system, boom, and lifting gear, prepare ground and load zone, position crawler crane, execute lifting and slewing operation, adjust load movement, reposition crawler crane with suspended load and carry out crawler crane post-operation shutdown. The outcome of this CU is a safe and structurally stable crawler crane lifting operation performed in accordance with job specifications, approved lifting plans, equipment manuals, safety legislation, and environmental conditions. This ensures operational readiness, ground bearing capacity, and load integrity throughout the lifting and shutdown sequence in accordance with SOP. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to perform crawler crane lifting operation ensuring proper setup, safe load handling, controlled movement, and post-operation shutdown in accordance with lifting plan, manufacturer’s manual, and safe working procedures (SWP). Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Inspect track system, boom, and lifting gear. 2. Prepare ground and load zone. 3. Position crawler crane. 4. Execute lifting and slewing operation. 5. Adjust load movement. 6. Reposition crawler crane with suspended load. 7. Carry out crawler crane post-operation shutdown. |
