| Penerangan CU | Perform lift, escalator and walkalator verification describes the verification of lift, escalator and walkalator design and installation carried out by competent person during the preparation of design document and during inspection to confirm that the installed lift, escalator and walkalator complies with the applicable standard and legal requirement. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to verify lift, escalator and walkalator system, design installation drawing, design installation calculation, safety component, testing and commissioning and inspection compliance. The outcome of this CU is the comprehensive validation of the system's safety, functional integrity, and full compliance from design to operation. This includes quantifiable results such as zero non-compliances on verified design/installation documents, 100% functionality of all safety components during testing and commissioning, the successful issuance of the initial Certificate of Fitness (CF) by DOSH, and a reduction in post-installation defects. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to perform a comprehensive verification of lift, escalator, and walkalator systems, designs, drawings, and calculations, ensuring full compliance with applicable standards and legal requirements. This includes inspecting all safety components to confirm their functionality, supervising testing and commissioning to achieve 100% functionality, and ultimately providing a thorough validation from design to operation. The successful outcome will be the successful issuance of the initial Certificate of Fitness (CF) by DOSH, with a target of zero non-compliances on all verified documents and a reduction in post- installation defects. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Verify safety component. 2. Verify design installation drawing. 3. Verify design installation calculation. 4. Verify testing and commissioning. 5. Verify lift, escalator and walkalator inspection compliance. |
