| Penerangan CU | Develop risk assessment describes a systematic process of identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing control measures to ensure safety throughout the machinery's lifecycle, from installation to maintenance and operation. This proactive assessment, led by the Competent Person in collaboration with employers, technicians, and manufacturers, is conducted on-site at the installation, during planning stages, and to comply with Malaysian regulations like the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994), the ensuring all foreseeable risks are effectively managed. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to classify work activity, determine hazard identification, analyse risk and apply control measures. The outcome of this CU is a capable person to develop risk assessment for each work activity to eliminate or reduce risk exposure to personnel involve in lift installation, testing and maintenance activity. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to classify lift, escalator, and walkalator work activities, identify potential hazards, evaluate and analyse associated risks, and apply effective control measures in compliance with OSHA 1994. They will also be able to document and review risk assessments, collaborate with relevant stakeholders, and promote a proactive safety culture to eliminate or reduce risks during installation, testing, operation, and maintenance activities. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Classify work activity. 2. Determine hazard identification. 3. Analyse risk. 4. Apply control measure. |
