| Penerangan CU | Perform lift inspection describes the examination of newly installed or periodically maintained lift, conducted at site by a Competent Person Grade 1 or Grade 2 together with a DOSH Officer. The inspection is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure safety compliance, and the process concludes with the issuance of a Certificate of Fitness. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare lift inspection requirements, perform machinery room or machinery space inspection, perform car top and lift component inspection, perform lift pit inspection, perform lift car and landing door inspection, verification of lift performance data and produce lift inspection outcome result report. The outcome of this CU is the verified safety, sustained reliability, and legal compliance of the lift, demonstrated through measurable reductions in accidents and downtime, high rates of Certificate of Fitness renewal, and the observable smooth operation and proper functioning of all safety components. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to perform a comprehensive inspection of lift, ensuring their compliance with statutory requirements, safety regulations and standards. This includes the ability to prepare all necessary inspection requirements, examination the equipment's components and its interface with the building, produce an report detailing the inspection's outcome and facilitate the successful issuance of a Certificate of Fitness. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Prepare lift inspection requirement. 2. Perform machinery room or machinery space inspection. 3. Perform car top and lift shaft component inspection. 4. Perform lift pit inspection. 5. Perform lift car and landing door inspection. 6. Perform lift performance data verification. 7. Produce lift inspection outcome result report. |
