| Penerangan CU | Perform Hygiene, Safety and Health Practices describes the tasks involved in keeping the dialysis workplace clean, safe and prepared for emergencies. This includes checking hygiene and safety requirements using PPE and cleaning materials, maintaining a hazard-free environment and assisting trained personnel during Basic Life Support (BLS). The person who is competent in this CU should be able to carry out hygiene, safety and health requirements; carry out infection control activities; inspect emergency equipment readiness; and provide assistance during Basic Life Support (BLS). The outcome of this CU is the consistent application of hygiene, infection control and safety practices, along with emergency preparedness, to maintain a clean, safe and ready dialysis environment that protects both healthcare personnel and patients in the dialysis setting while ensuring effective emergency response. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to implement hygiene, safety and health practices in haemodialysis support operations to support patient safety, prevent infection and follow clinical and occupational health regulations. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Carry out hygiene, safety and health requirements. 2. Carry out infection control activities. 3. Inspect emergency equipment readiness. 4. Provide assistance during Basic Life Support (BLS). |
