| Penerangan CU | Supervise confined space entry and works describes the competency to coordinate, control and supervise all confined space activities, from permit issuance to post-entry procedures, to ensure full compliance with safety regulations and established protocols. It includes overseeing the entire entry process, monitoring ongoing work, activating emergency procedures when necessary and confirming that post-entry requirements are properly completed. The competent person ensures that confined space operations are conducted safely, systematically and legally. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare confined space permit to work, monitor confined space works, implement emergency and rescue procedure and carry out post entry procedure. The outcome of this CU is safe supervision of all stages of confined space entry and work, including permit management, active monitoring, emergency execution and closure. The competency ensures that confined space operations are conducted in full compliance with regulatory frameworks, company standard operating procedure (SOPs) and safety best practices, thereby protecting personnel, property and the environment in accordance with Malaysia’s ICOP CS 2010, DOSH guidelines and recognized best practices in confined space operations. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to prepare confined space permit to work, monitor confined space works, implement emergency and rescue procedures and carry out post-entry procedures in accordance with legal and best practice requirements, ensuring safe supervision of all stages of confined space entry and work including permit management, active monitoring, emergency execution, and closure. This competency ensures that confined space operations are conducted in full compliance with regulatory frameworks, company standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety best practices, thereby protecting personnel, property, and the environment in accordance with Malaysia’s ICOP CS 2010, DOSH guidelines and recognized best practices in confined space operations. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Prepare confined space permit to work. 2. Monitor confined space works. 3. Implement emergency and rescue procedure. 4. Carry out post entry procedure. |
