| Penerangan CU | Perform confined space entry planning and preparation describe the competency to plan, organize and establish safe systems of work for confined space entry operations in compliance with legal and procedural requirements, particularly under Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in Confined Space 2010 (ICOP CS 2010) as per latest amendment and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Malaysia guidelines. It involves coordination of multiple safety elements before authorizing entry into confined spaces and ensuring the site and documentation are fully prepared, verified and compliant. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare confined space documentation, prepare confined space permit to work, prepare confined space site and prepare confined space ventilation plan. The outcome of this CU is full readiness of both administrative and physical work for safe entry into confined spaces. This is crucial in avoiding incidents related to atmospheric hazards, engulfment, or rescue failure and ensures compliance with confined space regulations and standards in accordance with Malaysia’s ICOP CS 2010 as per latest amendment, DOSH guidelines and recognized best practices in confined space operations. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to prepare confined space documentation, permit to work, site and ventilation plan in accordance with legal and best practice requirements, ensuring full administrative and physical readiness for safe entry into confined spaces. This includes the prevention of incidents related to atmospheric hazards, engulfment and rescue failure and ensures compliance with Malaysia’s Industry Code of Practice for Safe Working in Confined Space 2010 (ICOP CS 2010) as per latest amendment, Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) guidelines and recognized confined space operational standards. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Prepare confined space documentation requirement. 2. Prepare confined space permit to work. 3. Prepare confined space site. 4. Prepare confined space ventilation plan. |
