Penerangan CUPerform Piping System 3D Modelling is a piping system involves creating a digital representation of pipes and components for industries like oil and gas or construction. The process includes planning the project, gathering data, selecting modelling software, designing the layout, adding fittings and supports, and running clash detection. After verifying the design, hydraulic and stress analysis by piping engineer, construction drawings and documentation are generated. This approach improves efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in the construction of piping systems.

The person who is competent in this CU should be able to interpret piping drawing work instruction, prepare 3D modelling piping drawing requirements, produce piping system 3D modelling and obtain piping system 3D modelling approval.

The outcome of this CU is the ability to produce 3D modelling of a piping system provides an accurate, clash-free design, detailed construction drawings, and material lists, simplifying the drafting process and ensuring smooth fabrication and installation. It enhances design accuracy and helps avoid costly mistakes.

Objektif PembelajaranThe learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to produce package drawings within the specified timeline. This includes applying relevant piping design standards, using appropriate symbols, and ensuring the inclusion of safety and operational features in accordance with the project requirements. Drawing package will comply to American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME B31.3 Process Piping) code to ensure compliance and quality.

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to:
1. Interpret piping drawing work instruction.
2. Prepare 3D modelling piping drawing requirements.
3. Produce piping system 3D modelling.
4. Obtain piping system 3D modelling approval.
