| Penerangan CU | Perform hot work activities describes comprehensive processes and safety procedures involved in tasks that generate heat, such as welding, cutting, and grinding, to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards. These tasks generate heat and sparks, necessitating strict safety measures to prevent accidents. Typically, hot work is limited to small-scale tasks that do not require major welding or extensive operations. Key safety measures include obtaining a hot work permit, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), establishing a fire watch, and ensuring proper isolation and gas testing. Adhering to these guidelines allows hot work to be performed safely and efficiently. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare hot work requirements, prepare hot work area, determine hot work procedures, carry out material welding, carry out material gouging, carry out grinding work, carry out material heating and record hot work activities. The outcome of this CU is successful execution of hot work activities that meet operational requirements, adhere to safety regulations, ensure environmental sustainability, and maintain high-quality standards in material joining, removal, modification, and heating, ultimately leading to a safe working environment and the effective completion of maintenance and repair tasks. |
