| Penerangan CU | Implement endpoint system security hardening describes strengthening the security of devices such as laptops, desktops, servers, mobile endpoints and Internet of Things (IoT) devices to protect against unauthorized access, malware and cyber threats. It is performed by IT Security Analysts and is conducted on all endpoint devices within an organization, including on-premises and remote systems. This process is vital to reducing vulnerabilities, protecting sensitive data, and preventing endpoint-based attacks, which are common entry points for cyber threats. It includes installing endpoint protection software, enabling data encryption, configuring firewalls, disabling unnecessary services, enforcing strong access controls and applying security patches. Regular monitoring and compliance checks ensure ongoing security effectiveness. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to install client/server operating systems, perform operating system security hardening, perform endpoint device security hardening and secure cloud services configuration. The outcome of this CU is to secure and harden endpoint systems, ensuring a resilient and protected IT environment that reduces risks and safeguards organizational assets. |
