| Penerangan CU | Implement network infrastructure security hardening describes strengthening network devices and systems to protect against cyber threats. It is performed by IT security analysts and conducted on critical components like routers, switches, firewalls and servers in both on-premises and cloud environments. This process is essential to reduce vulnerabilities, prevent unauthorized access and ensure the resilience of the network infrastructure. Key steps include configuring strong access controls, applying security patches, enabling encryption, disabling unused services and monitoring network activity. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to plan network infrastructure security topology, deploy network firewall, deploy network intrusion detection/prevention system (IDS/IPS), analyse network traffic flow, install network access control configuration, perform wireless network security hardening and manage network infrastructure security systems. The outcome of this CU is a successful implementation of effective network infrastructure security hardening measures to protect critical systems, minimize vulnerabilities and enhance overall network resilience against cyber threats. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to implement network infrastructure security with embedded robust protection systems/policies while maintaining integrity, confidentiality and availability of network resources. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Plan network infrastructure security topology. 2. Deploy network firewall. 3. Deploy network Intrusion Detection/ Protection System (IDS/IPS). 4. Analyse network traffic flow. 5. Install network access control configuration. 6. Perform wireless network security hardening. 7.
