| Penerangan CU | Assess Aerospace Composite Structure Major Damage describes the competencies required to evaluate the extent and severity of damage, including the size and depth of cracks, delamination and other defects as well as its impact on the structural performance of the composite. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to establish aerospace composite structure damage, determine aerospace composite structure damage inspection criteria, prepare aerospace composite structure for inspection instruction, carry out aerospace composite major damage inspection and produce aerospace composite major damage assessment report. The outcome of this CU is the confirmation of the type and criticality of damage confirmed along with its required corrective action recommended to management in accordance with the company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Furthermore, the structural integrity and specification of the repaired components should comply per the Approved Data. |

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to: 1. Establish aerospace composite structure damage. 2. Determine aerospace composite structure damage inspection criteria. 3. Prepare aerospace composite structure inspection instruction. 4. Carry out aerospace composite major damage inspection 5. Produce aerospace composite major damage assessment report. |
