Primary structures carry flight, ground, or pressurisation loads, and whose failure would reduce the structural integrity of the aircraft. Examples of primary structures include wing assembly, fuselage, cockpit and tail assembly. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to carry out aerospace sheet metal primary structures damage assessment, carry out aerospace sheet metal primary structure repair work preparation, carry out aerospace sheet metal primary structures repair and carry out aerospace sheet metal primary structure repair in-process inspection. The outcome of this CU is reliable and safe restoration of aircrafts to maintain overall reliability, performance and structural integrity while ensuring compliance with Approved Data/ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/ regulatory requirements. |
