This process is essential in installation and repairing electronics works like circuit boards, wiring systems and appliances. The primary technology used includes soldering irons and soldering stations which heat the lead-free solder to its melting point and flux, a chemical agent that aids in the smooth flow of solder by removing oxidation. Soldering process is crucial because it ensures reliable electrical connections enabling the proper functionality of electronic circuits and devices. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to identify electronic soldering technical documents, prepare electronic components placement activity, carry out through-hole components soldering works, carry out surface-mount device soldering works, carry out electronic components desoldering/reworks and carry out electronic soldering and desoldering finishing works. The outcome of this CU is soldered electronic components are reliable, functional and meet electronics soldering quality standards and specifications. |
