Penerangan CUExecute basic hair colouring describes the fundamental hair colouring techniques. This includes understanding the colour wheel, mixing and applying hair dye, and achieving even colour results. This unit also covers essential aspects such as client consultation, selecting suitable and environmentally friendly colours based on skin tone and hair type, and following safety protocols. It emphasises the importance of preparing the hair, applying colour evenly, and providing sustainable aftercare advice, such as using eco-conscious hair care products to maintain the colour.

The person who is competent in this CU should be able to provide basic hair colouring consultation, carry out virgin hair colouring, carry out grey hair coverage colouring and carry out root retouch colouring.

The outcome of this CU is noticeable change in hair’s colour which can enhance or completely transform one’s appearance, through techniques such as virgin hair colouring, grey hair coverage colouring and hair root retouch colouring.

Objektif PembelajaranThe learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to conduct virgin hair colouring, grey hair coverage colouring and root retouch colouring according to hairdressing service guideline.

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to:
1. Provide basic hair colouring consultation.
2. Carry out virgin hair colouring.
3. Carry out grey hair coverage colouring.
4. Carry out hair root retouch colouring.
Pra-Syarata) Competent in S960-008-2:2025-C01 Perform Hair Salon Maintenance, and b) The trainees must complete S960-008-2:2024-C08-W01: Provide hair colouring consultation, before proceeding to S960-008-2:2024-C08-W02 Carry out virgin hair colouring, S960-008-2:2024-C08-W03: Carry out grey hair coverage colouring, and S960-008-2:2024-C08-W04: Carry out hair root retouch colouring.
