Penerangan CUExecute hair bleaching describes a chemical process namely full-head bleaching, foil bleaching, cap bleaching and root bleaching that lightens the colour of the hair by removing its natural pigments. This process is commonly used to achieve a blonde shade or prepare the hair for dyeing in lighter or more vibrant colours. It often involves professional-grade products, specialised techniques, and the use of advanced tools and equipment. To incorporate sustainability into the bleaching process, professionals are encouraged to use eco-friendly, non-toxic bleaching products, and ensure proper disposal of chemical waste to reduce environmental impact.

The person who is competent in this CU should be able to provide hair bleaching consultation, carry out full-head bleaching, carry out foil bleaching, carry out cap bleaching and carry out hair root bleaching.

The outcome of this CU is full-head bleached hair, foil bleached hair, cap bleached hair, and root bleached hair, which lighten the hair colour and provide an even and consistent shade. These results are achieved with an emphasis on sustainable practices, offering clients a vibrant, stylish look while promoting environmental responsibility in the hair treatment process.

Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees should be able to:
1. Provide hair bleaching consultation.
2. Carry out full-head bleaching.
3. Carry out foil bleaching.
4. Carry out cap bleaching.
5. Carry out hair root bleaching.
Pra-SyaratThe trainees must complete S960-008-3:2024-C04-W01: Provide hair bleaching consultation, before proceeding to S960-008-3:2024-C04-W02 Carry out full-head bleaching, S960-008-2:2024-C04-W03 Carry out foil bleaching, S960-008-3:2024-C04-W04 Carry out cap bleaching, and S960-008-3:2024-C04-W05 Carry out hair root bleaching.
