Key aspects of this competency include assessing the client’s hair and scalp condition, selecting appropriate perm rods and solutions, applying the products in a way that ensures even and consistent curls, at the same time reduce environmental impact and minimise chemical exposure for both the client and hairdresser. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to provide hair cold perm consultation, carry out hair foundation perm, carry out hair body perm, carry out hair root and end perm, and carry out hair spiral perm. The outcome of this CU is well-defined, long-lasting curls that meet the client's desired style, maintain hair health, and ensure client satisfaction, all while adhering to professional hairdressing standards and incorporating sustainable practices. |

| Pra-Syarat | a) Competent in S960-008-2:2025-C01 Perform Hair Salon Maintenance, and b) The trainees must complete S960-008-2:2024-C06-W01: Provide hair cold perm consultation, before proceeding to S960-008-2:2024-C06-W02 Carry out hair foundation perm, S960-008-2:2024-C06-W03: Carry out hair body perm, S960-008-2:2024-C06-W04: Carry out hair root and end perm, and S960-008-2:2024-C06-W05 Carry out hair spiral perm. |
