They should manage their workflow to fulfil deadlines, adhere to technical and artistic limitations, and work well with others in the team. This entails learning how to use programs like Photoshop, Substance Painter, and ZBrush, comprehending PBR and Ultraviolet (UV) unwrapping methods, and implementing optimization strategies. They should also be able to troubleshoot issues, refine textures based on feedback, and work both in-studio and custom online tools. Clear communication and documentation skills are essential for maintaining efficiency and quality throughout the texture creation process.

The person who is competent in this CU should be able to unwrap UV texture, bake normal map, create advanced PBR texture, create UV lightmap and export final texture.

The outcome of this CU is that the person will be able to create high-quality, optimised textures for AAA game assets. They'll be able to unwrap UVs for models and lightmaps, bake detailed normal maps, and create sophisticated advanced stylized or PBR textures. They'll also be able to export final textures ready for game integration. Their work will result in enhancing the visual fidelity of the game, distortion-free textures that meet performance requirements and project specifications. These outcomes can be clearly seen in the quality and performance of the textures in the game.

Objektif PembelajaranThe learning outcomes of this competency are to enable the trainees to create advanced 3D game textures and materials involving using industry-standard tools to produce high-quality, optimised game assets textures, enhance visual fidelity and meeting performance requirements and project specifications.

1. Unwarp UV texture.
2. Bake normal map.
3. Create advanced texture.
4. Export final texture.
