| Penerangan CU | Steel Making Production Support describes the competency in assisting the production of steel from iron ore and scrap. A competent person in this CU shall be able to receive metal scrap/hot metal, carry out furnace operation, carry out ladle refining operation, carry out casting operation and carry out steel product handling. The outcome of this competency is to produce up-stream products: blooms, billets, beam blanks and slabs in accordance with International standards (i.e. Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) and Malaysia Standards (MS)). |
