| Penerangan CU | A district metering area (DMA) is defined as a discrete area of a water distribution network. It is usually created by closing boundary valves so that it remains flexible to changing demands. However, a DMA can also be created by permanently disconnecting pipes to neighbouring areas. Water flowing into the DMA is metered and flows are periodically analysed in order to monitor the level of leakage (NRW). The person who is competent in District Metering Area (DMA) Establishment shall be able to update Geographical Information System (GIS) data, check number of inlet pipeline to the propose DMA, carry out customer survey and geo-cording, carry out Zero Pressure Test (ZPT), propose DMA single feeder, monitor DMA meter and chamber installation work and calculate DMA NRW level The outcome of this competency is the ability to propose new district metering area to oversee NRW problems effectively according to water operator requirement.
