| Penerangan CU | Ceramic Products Glazing describes the competency in applying engobe & glaze to ceramic products as to give glassy coating when dried and fired. Engobe & glaze is a mixture of various materials and colorants, which are ground into a fine powder and mixed with water/medium oil. It can serve to colour, decorate or waterproof an item. A competent person in this CU shall be able to identify ceramic products glazing requirements, glaze ceramic products, evaluate ceramic products glazing and perform work area & equipment housekeeping. The outcome of this competency is to glaze ceramic products as to improve the appearance and add value in accordance with design, product specifications and safety requirements. |
