| Penerangan CU | A water turbine is a rotary machine that converts kinetic and potential energy of water into mechanical work. There are two main types of hydro turbines: impulse and reaction. The application of hydropower turbine is based on the height of standing water and the flow, or volume of water, at the site. Small Hydro Plant Turbine Maintenance describes the competency required to perform the maintenance of turbines of small hydro plant. A competent person in this CU shall be able to carry out small hydro turbine maintenance activities preparation, carry out main inlet valve (MIV) and turbine condition monitoring (online), carry out turbine maintenance (offline) and carry out work place house-keeping. The outcome of this competency is to ensure efficient operation of turbines system that support the operations of small hydro intake that meet the power generation requirement, guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedure. |
