| Penerangan CU | Fibreglass superstructure product manufacturing control is a process to plan, monitor and control fabrication of fibreglass boat superstructure accurately according to design specification and requirements. The person who is competent in fibreglass superstructure product manufacturing shall be able to analyse superstructure building requirements, organise superstructure raw material, tools & equipment’s preparation, control superstructure gel coating activities, superstructure lamination and superstructure skin lamination activities, superstructure reinforcement activities, superstructure de-moulding activities and superstructure trimming activities in accordance with fibreglass boat specifications. The outcome of this competency is the ability to confirm hull production tools and materials prepared perfectly, manufacture fibreglass boat hull accordingly follow process sequence and excellent product quality in accordance with fibreglass boat specifications and requirements. Skin coat activities in fiberglass superstucture manufacturing are optional. This process basically cover in a big company and not applicable for small company. Boat categories for small craft are below 24 meters. After completion of this process, fiberglass superstructure transfer to assembly line to proceed required attachment and components on panels. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to confirm superstructure production tools and materials prepared perfectly, manufacture fibreglass boat superstructure accordingly follow process sequence and excellent quality that fulfil excellent product quality in accordance with fibreglass boat specifications and requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- • Plan fibreglass superstructure manufacturing works • Control superstructure gel coating activities • Confirm superstructure skin coat quality • Confirm superstructure lamination quality • Control superstructure reinforcement activities • Control superstructure de-moulding activities • Verify fibreglass superstructure trimming and touch up quality |
