| Penerangan CU | Musical instrument making materials preparation includes preparing materials to construct the music instrument. The process such as drying, chemical treatments, steaming, dipping, staining, toning, shading, boiling and soaking are applied as well as grading and selection of materials are very important process to identify defects. Cutting and merging process of the materials are carried out carefully in order to produce good quality tone colour for the musical instrument. The personnel who are competent in this CU shall be able to perform material processing, perform materials grading selection, perform cutting and merging materials. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the personnel are well equiped in the acoustic aspect of wood as well as the wood processing and managing (storing and maintenance procedure) before constructing the musical instrument. |
