The person who is competent in germplasm collection and gene bank management shall be able to assess germplasm collection, plan storage strategies, manage seed multiplication, access retrieval & documentation, organise gene bank budgeting and manage gene bank resources. The outcome of this competency is to develop varietal characterisation for all crops and compiling a complete database of all accession. |
