| Penerangan CU | Underwriting Individual Risk Assessment is a process of assessing risk of each proposal received to determine whether the risk can be accepted, rated up or rejected. The purpose of assessment of risk is to avoid anti selection, avoid early claims and to be fair to all participants in the pool. Underwriters need to interpret the applicant’s information and translate the information to make relevant and competent decision. The person who is competent in Underwriting Individual Risk Assessment shall be able to prepare individual risk assessment requirements, perform medical assessment, perform occupation assessment, perform lifestyle assessment, perform geographical / residence assessment, perform aviation / hobbies assessment and perform risk assessment consideration in accordance with organisation underwriting procedures, regulatory and statutory body requirements. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the risk is appropriately measured in order to avoid anti selection and achieve profitable underwriting surplus. |
