| Penerangan CU | Raw Water Intake Operation describes the competency required to operate and clean screens/weir gate. He/She has to remove rubbish and large objects from raw water at intake points, remove large solids from sand pumps, to operate pumps according to demand and conduct sampling to determine quality of raw water. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify raw water intake operation requirements, perform intake cleaning activity, carry out raw water sampling, carry out raw water quality test, operate raw water pump, carry out housekeeping and produce raw water operation records The outcome of this competency is to ensure the raw water intake is free from foreign materials and contamination in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and regulatory guidelines (Ministry of Health (MOH) and Department of Environment (DOE)). |
