| Penerangan CU | Automotive water base painting is a process in a painting activity which is starting from masking, primer, moist sand, and top coat activities. The chemical water is part of the ingredient which has to be mixed with the water base paint in order to complete car body painting to meet colour requirement as per company quality standard. Automotive water base painting which is also known as waterborne paint dries differently than solvent-based paint. It is critical to have sufficient air flow across the panel to allow the paint to dry fully before spraying the clear coat. The person who is competent in body spray operation shall be able to prepare water base operational requirements, perform body part cleaning process, perform water base painting process and carry out water base painting finishing activities The outcome of this competency is to develop competent personnel in Body spray painting operation process to meet quality specification, lead time and comply with safety precaution |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in automotive water base painting shall be able to perform water base painting activities which is starting from masking, primer, moist sand and top coat activities which is using the chemical water as main ingredient to mix with the water base paint to complete. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to :- - Prepare water base operational requirements - Perform body part cleaning process - Perform water base painting process - Carry out water base painting finishing activities |
