The person who is competent in this CU should be able to prepare ABG analyser, perform blood gas tests, and monitor blood gas parameters. The outcome of this CU is competent use of the arterial blood gas (ABG) analyser to perform blood gas test and maintain blood gas parameters within acceptable range in compliance with institutional protocol and safety requirements. |
