| Penerangan CU | Rubber Plantation Tapping Operation describes the process by which latex or cup lump is tapped from a rubber tree. The latex is harvested by slicing a groove into the bark of the tree at a depth of one-quarter inch with a hooked knife and peeling back the bark. Trees must be approximately within six years old and six inches in diameter in order to be tapped for latex. This process usually takes place early in wee hours of the morning in order to maximise the latex output capacity. The person who is competent in this CU should be able to attend morning roll call, prepare tapping tools utensils and PPE, perform tapping activities and perform stimulation substance application. The outcome of this CU is rubber tree yield which includes latex and cup lump is harvested in accordance with plantation operational target. |
