Brick piers are built in the same manner as brick walls. When they are less than 3 feet square, and support a beam, girder, arch, column, or lintel carrying a wall The person who is competent in this CU should be able to carry out work area setting out, carry out brick pier mortar preparation, carry out brick pier construction and perform work area housekeeping. The outcome of this CU is brick pier constructed where the laying method, horizontal alignment, vertical alignment and joint specification are according to drawing and work instruction. |
