| Penerangan CU | Plastics Thermoforming Operation is a process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature, formed to a specific shape in a mold, and trimmed to create a usable product. The sheet, or "film" when referring to thinner gauges and certain material types, is heated in an oven to a high-enough temperature that it can be stretched into or onto a mould and cooled to a finished shape. The person who is competent in this competency unit shall be able to assess the product requirements based on job order and client needs, plan and execute the thermoforming processes and verifying the output according to product specification. The outcome of this competency is to produce the product in a desired shape/mould using the thermoforming technology. |
