| Penerangan CU | The Competency Unit (CU) of Helicopter turbine system maintenance is developed based on Air Transport Association (ATA) System Chapter 100. The relevant chapters under ATA 100 are the following: - Chapter 62 (main rotor) - Chapter 63 (main rotor drive) - Chapter 64 (tail rotor) - Chapter 65 (tail rotor drive) - Chapter 66 (rotor blade & tail pylon folding) Helicopter turbine system maintenance is to maintain Helicopter turbine system in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies. The personnel who are competent in air Helicopter craft turbine system maintenance shall be able to identify, plan, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, modify, test, overhaul, record and certify turbine systems to meet continuous airworthiness standards. The outcome of this competency is to develop competent manpower in accordance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and job description. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | Helicopter turbine maintenance is to maintain helicopter turbine system (with limited release approval) in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies such as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). The personnel who are competent in helicopter turbine maintenance shall be able to:- • Identify helicopter turbine system components • Plan helicopter turbine system maintenance activities • Inspect helicopter turbine system component • Troubleshoot helicopter turbine system component • Repair helicopter turbine system component • Replace helicopter turbine system component • Modify helicopter turbine system component • Test helicopter turbine system component • Overhaul helicopter turbine system |
