Penerangan CUAircraft power plant system servicing is to maintain aircraft power plant system in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies such as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

The Competency Unit (CU) of Aircraft power plant system servicing is developed based on Air Transport Association (ATA) System Chapter 100.

The relevant chapters under ATA 100 are the following:
- Chapter 49 (Airborne auxiliary power)
- Chapter 71 (Power plant)
- Chapter 72(T) (Engine (Turbine))
- Chapter 73 (Engine fuel & control)
- Chapter 74 (Ignition )
- Chapter 75 (Bleed Air)
- Chapter 76 (Engine control)
- Chapter 77 (Engine indicating)
- Chapter 78 (Exhaust)
- Chapter 79 (Oil)
- Chapter 80 (Starting)
- Chapter 81 (Turbines [Reciprocating Engines])
- Chapter 82 (Engine Water Injection)
- Chapter 83 Accessory Gearboxes)
- Chapter 84 (Propulsion Augmentation)

The personnel who are competent in aircraft power plant system servicing shall be able to identify power plant system servicing requirement, prepare tools, equipment and materials, remove aircraft power plant component and install aircraft power plant component to meet continuous airworthiness standards.

The outcome of this competency is to develop competent manpower in accordance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and job description
