Penerangan CUAircraft general servicing is to maintain aircraft general system in accordance with the requirement of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia (DCAM) and other regulatory bodies such as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

The Competency Unit (CU) of Aircraft airframe system servicing is developed based on Air Transport Association (ATA) System Chapter 100.

The relevant chapters under ATA 100 are the following:
- Chapter 05 (Times Limits/ Maintenance Checks)
- Chapter 06 (Dimensions and areas)
- Chapter 07 (Lifting and Shoring)
- Chapter 08 (Levelling and Weighing)
- Chapter 09 (Towing and Taxing)
- Chapter 10 (Parking, Mooring, Storage and Return to Service)
- Chapter 11 (Placards and Markings)
- Chapter 12 (Servicing Routine Maintenance)
- Chapter 20

The personnel who are competent in aircraft general servicing shall be able to identify aircraft general servicing requirement, prepare aircraft general servicing tool, equipment and materials, carry out aircraft towing, carryout aircraft weighing, carry out aircraft jacking, carry out Aircraft levelling, carry out aircraft shoring, carry out placards and marking inspection, carry out routine maintenance and carry out aircraft de jacking.

The outcome of this competency is to develop competent manpower in accordance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and job description.

Objektif PembelajaranThe person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform aircraft transfer from/to maintenance area for maintenance activities. This competency will involve activities such as aircraft towing, jacking, levelling, weighing, shoring and de jacking. Besides that this competency also include performing in carry out general maintenance activities and placard / marking inspection according to related ATA Chapter 100 document, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Department Civil Aviation of Malaysia (DCAM), FAA and company requirement.

Upon this competency unit, trainees will be able to:
• Identify aircraft general activities and maintenance requirement
• Prepare aircraft general activities and maintenance tool, equipment, and materials
• Carry out aircraft towing
• Carry out aircraft weighing
• Carry out aircraft jacking
• Carry out aircraft levelling
• Carry out aircraft shoring
• Carry out aircraft placards and marking inspection
• Carry out aircraft routine maintenance
• Carry out aircraft de jacking.
