| Penerangan CU | Contemporary batik, while owing much to the past, is markedly different from the more traditional and formal styles. For example, the artist may use etching, discharge dyeing, stencils, different tools for waxing and dyeing, wax recipes with different resist values and work with silk, cotton, wool, leather, paper or even wood and ceramics. Proper usage of tools and equipment is needed during performing the task to ensure high quality of work performance. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify batik contemporary design specifications, prepare materials, wax, colour, colour fixation, tools and equipment, produce batik contemporary, carry out finishing activities, quality inspection and product packing activities in accordance with batik contemporary design specifications. The outcome of this competency is to produce batik contemporary product in accordance with customer requirements. |
