| Penerangan CU | Mould & die preparation supervision is a competency of planning, organizing, leading and controlling of resources to achieve all mould & die preparation objectives prior to the casting process in accordance with customer and or organization standard & requirements. Japan International Standard, American Foundry Society, British Standards, ASTMD7765, MS303, MS505 are among the popular standard used) Effective supervision is important as the mould & die preparation process affects the production process and foundry end product quality. The person who is competent in mould & die preparation will be able to perform mould & die preparation planning, perform mould & die preparation resources allocation, perform operation briefing, monitor mould & die preparation, establish mould & die preparation operation performance status, and handle mould & die preparation operation performance problem in accordance with organizations and or customer requirements. An effective Mould & die preparation supervisor should be able to plan, organize, lead and control the production team to accomplish all assigned tasks and achieve the specified objectives as required by the organization. He should ensure that all resources are correctly allocated and team members leaded toward goals achievement. His performance should be measured based on the pre-determined measurable objective assigned at the beginning of the performance appraisal period. In order to reach the Mould & die preparation objectives, He lead his team in disassembling and assembling mould and die according to specific manual requirements, service mould and die, replacing of flaws wear and tear and rectify to serviceable condition, placing and adjusting of un-serviceable parts correctly, confirming mould and die functional ability and batch identification controlled number, executing mould and die pre-heat operation, completing check sheet, and ensuring heating procedures compliance to reach the specified heating temperature. The outcome of this CU is to meet occupational skills standard which incorporate the skills, knowledge and attitude to be delivered systematically. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to plan, organize, lead and control the production team to accomplish all assigned tasks and achieve the specified objectives as required by the organization.
