| Penerangan CU | Engine lubricant system troubleshoot and repairing offer learners the opportunity to simply the use of a material to improve the smoothness if movement of one surface over another; the material which is used in this way is called a lubricant. Lubricants are usually liquids or semi-liquids, but may be solids or gases or any combination of solids, liquids, and gases. The smoothness of movement is improved by reducing friction..This is achieved through the completion of a sequence of practical experiences and the application of knowledge gained through standard service procedures and routines. Learners will learn engine system repairing processes and safe working practises, both individually and as a member of a group. The person who is competent in engine lubricant system repairing shall be able to carry out engine lubricant system inspection activities, replace engine oil, replace faulty oil pressure sensor / indicator, replace engine oil pump and clean strainer, replace broken/worn out oil seal/ sealant/gasket, clean/replace breather, clean/replace hose and pipe line, and service/replace engine oil cooler The outcome of this competency is to ensure the objectives of training are achieved effectively based on client goal according to company standard operating procedure |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to carry out engine cooling system troubleshoot and repairing engine system repairing in compliance with service manual and adhere to workshop practices to meet workshop safety and health regulation. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- Carry out engine lubricant system inspection activities Replace engine oil Replace faulty oil pressure sensor / indicator Replace engine oil pump and clean strainer Replace broken/worn out oil seal/ sealant/gasket Clean/replace breather Clean/replace hose and pipe line Service/replace engine oil cooler Carry out housekeeping activities Prepare service report |
