| Penerangan CU | Metering stations allow operators to monitor and manage the natural gas and oil exported from the production installation. These metering stations employ specialized meters to measure the natural gas or oil as it flows through the pipeline, without impeding its movement. This metered volume represents a transfer of ownership from a producer to a customer It forms the basis for invoicing sold product and also for production taxes and revenue sharing between partners and accuracy requirements. It is often set by governmental authorities. Oil & gas metering facilities is installed on the platform to monitor and record the volume of oil & gas produced and sent out daily and accumulatively. This reading is taken as per company and authorised body requirements. The components such as turbine flow meters, transmitter and gauges are maintained to ensure that the reading taken is accurate. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify oil & gas metering component troubleshooting requirements, perform oil & gas metering component visual and physical inspection, perform oil & gas metering component routine service, perform oil & gas metering component functionality test and prepare maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to ensure the reading is in compliance with the company and authorised body requirements.
