| Penerangan CU | This is a safety requirement for every platform. This is used to warn nearby ships of the location of the platform during foul weather with poor visibility. This will give the safe distance for the ship to be away from the platform to avoid collision with the platform. The naviaid beacon light is located at four corners of the platform and the fog honk is placed at the cellar deck. This is maintained as the equipment is critical to shipping route. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify Navaid maintenance/ troubleshooting requirements, perform Navaid visual and physical inspection, perform Navaid routine service, troubleshoot Navaid system failure and test Navaid system and prepare Navaid maintenance report. The outcome of this competency is to service and upkeep Navaid system according to company standard operating procedure and to comply with safety regulations. |
