| Penerangan CU | In the oil and gas industry, blasting & coating works are part of a larger project. Blasting & coating managers are required to liaise with their counterparts in other disciplines in carrying out their functions. They are also responsible for the appraisal of subordinates performance as well as their training and development needs. The person who is competent in this CU will be able to participate in kick-off meeting, manage interfacing with other disciplines, appraise subordinates’ performance, manage training and development, participate in project coordination meetings, and prepare overall operation reports. The outcome of this competency is efficient and effective management of overall blasting & coating operation and the personnel involved to ensure that work target is met. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to manage blasting & coating project in accordance with blasting and coating standards and client requirements. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- 1. Analyse blasting & coating project requirements 2. Manage interfacing with other disciplines 3. Liaise with client/ owner on project related matters 4. Manage blasting & coating personnel human resource matters 5. Manage training and development 6. Prepare blasting & coating overall operation reports |
