| Penerangan CU | HVAC and refrigeration system servicing describes the competencies required to service the components in the system. An efficient HVAC system helps in making the harsh offshore environment as comfortable as possible. Heating, ventilation and other air-handling equipment needs to be as tough, efficient and safe as the structures themselves. Periodical servicing of these equipment will prolong their lifespan and enhance efficiency. The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to identify HVAC and refrigeration system servicing requirements, perform visual inspection on HVAC and refrigeration system units, perform HVAC and refrigeration units servicing and update maintenance logbook. The outcome of this is efficient operation of the HVAC and refrigeration system and minimising of unnecessary downtime. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform HVAC and refrigeration system servicing according to job and manufacturer’s specifications. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to:- 1. Identify heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration system unit servicing requirements 2. Perform visual inspection on HVAC and refrigeration system units 3. Perform heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration unit servicing 4. Update maintenance logbook |
