| Penerangan CU | Motorboat engine repair work also known as corrective maintenance is a competency that is required to be performed when an engine is facing problem which needs immediate repair work or replacement of defective engine parts. The person who is competent in this work shall be able to identify engine defects or faults, determine scope of repair work, carry out engine repair work, re-inspect the engine for overall system checking and running, perform good housekeeping practice and to compile engine repair work report so that proper repair work could be achieved. The outcome of this competency is to provide good corrective maintenance or repair work according to manufacturer’s specifications, guidelines and to comply with SOP, Safety Procedure, ISO and IMO standards if necessary. |

| Objektif Pembelajaran | The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to perform motorboat engine repair work for both outboard engine type and inboard engine type based on engine manuals and standard operation procedure. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to: Identify engine defects or faults Determine scope of repair work Carry out engine repair work Re-inspect overall engine system checking and running Perform good housekeeping practice Compile engine repair work report |
