Tajuk CUPORTABLE TEST EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Penerangan CUPortable test equipment such as multimeter and portable electronic field current calibrator is used to check and measure the value of supply voltage, current and resistance. Other portable test equipment like pneumatic field calibrator and temperature indicator are used to check air pressure and temperature respectively.
This equipment is usually calibrated to ensure that the readings taken are accurate according to manufacturer’s guide to avoid unnecessary incident to the end user. It is a good practice to check the equipment to ensure that it is fit for its intended use before it is being used. All portable test equipment is delicate and expensive and therefore should be maintained and handled with care.

The person who is competent in this CU shall be able to obtain test equipment to be maintained from the store, perform portable test equipment visual and physical inspection, perform portable test equipment routine service, perform portable test equipment functionality check and prepare maintenance report.

The outcome of this competency is to service and upkeep the portable test equipment according to company standard operating procedure because the test equipment is critical and must be ensured that they are readily and available to be used at all times

Objektif PembelajaranThe trainee who is competent in this CU shall be able to repair, service and upkeep Portable Test Equipment according to company standard operating procedure to ensure efficiency and minimum downtime of devices. Upon completion of this competency unit, trainees will be able to

1. Interpret job card requirements
2. Perform test equipment visual and physical inspection
3. Perform portable test equipment functionality check
4. Perform portable test equipment routine service
5. Report maintenance activities and findings
